School activities

Last week, our English teacher has told us that we have to read the book "The woman in white".
There is also a movie, but I have not see it yet. Maybe, after I have read the book Iwill see it.
The exam is on the 20th of December and I will do it dressed with old costums because next day will be Santo Tomas and in the school that Friday we are going to celebrate that day. I'm excited about it! It will be amazing! :)

Europe and us

Today we've been discussing about how the European Union helps us:

-Movile phone makers are making a universal estandar for charges.
-Europeans win the right to full translation.
-It makes sure nature doesn't suffer from those things, such as TVs, phones... we no longer need.
-It moves fast to respond to catastrophes like the earthquakes in Tahiti and chemical spills in Hungary, givin shelter, food, helicopters...
-New Eu rules shelter children from abuse on the Internet or physical world.
-It made some changes in the furniture shops.

Changes in the furniture shops was the one which Maialen and I had to talk about today in class. It is as interesting as the other ones.
Some furniture and construction industries in the EU use wood that has been illegally cut, destroying forests.
The new rules prevent this, and it is beneficial for legal funiture makers and also for the forests not to be disappeared.

Exchange to Italy!

Last year I went to Italy with the school to do an exchange. It was fantastic! I would like to repeat it!
We went 25 students  for a week, we traveled in a bus and we slept in it, in Cannes. The exchange was with a high school from a little town called Lucca.
My italian girl was living in a faraway town. It was in a mountain, I feel like Heidi! jejeje It was great! It snowed every day and it was cold!
I didn't learn a lot of italian, but I spent a great time with my friends! We ate a lot of pasta!
Some months later 15 italian girls came to Donosti for a week and we went with them to Bilbo, to visit the city. We prepared a dinner for them the last day and we spend a fantastic night! They liked our potato omelette a lot!

Our beautiful Europe!

European Union has got 28 wonderful cities and all of them are different between them!
Here we have a fantastic video!

European regional differences

There are big differences between countries in the European Union. Language, religion, habits and wealth, are some of them. It depends on the location in Europe.

Differences between east and west Europe:

There are 27 countries in the European Union, and there are big differences between them. We can say that the west side of Europe is the most developed side. France, Germany, Britain, Netherland... All of them are located in the middle west of Europe. In the middle East of Europe are Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary...

Differences between north ans south Europe:

The most common difference between people from the North and people from the South has to do with the way each people expresses their feelings. It can be because of the weather.
On the one hand, people from the North such as English, Dutch, German, Scandinavians, people from the Baltic, being influenced by an environment characterized by less sunlight and lower temperatures during the year, are usually more closed and constraint.
On the other hand, Mediterraneans, such as Spanish, Italians, Greeks and so on, are in general more open, more expressive and often more sociable.

Erasmus exchange programme

Here I am again!
In the last lessons we spoke about Erasmus and I decide to do a little interview to my cousin about it. She participated in this exchange programme. I asked this questions to her and she answered them excitement. We had a nice time!

1- Where did you go to study? I went to Linköping (Sweden).
2- How long had you been there studing? I went for six months.
3- Why did you go there? I wen to Sweden because I wanted to take part in the Erasmus exchange programme. I choosed to go to Sweden because I had friends that they had been in this country before.
4- Were here the subjects that you choosed? I did the 5th level of the first semester. The subjects that I choosed were similar here and there.
5- How was the experience? It was very positive. I learned a lot about different cultures and how to live abroad. I got more experience for my new job and my life.
6- Did you have any problem with the language? Did they demand a minimum? At the begining, it was a little bit difficult to study in a different language, but then, I got used to study in English and it was good. Before to go there, I did a language exam.
7- Were the costums different from here? There were similar from here.
8- Do you suggest the experience to go abroad to anyone? Yes, to get the control of a language it's a really good experience. And when you get a job they look to your studies abroud.
